The Mercedes-Benz Concept EQ: The future of electric cars leaves the downtime behind!

If you've been following our blog here at The Automaster lately, you've probably seen our recent posts on the Mercedes-Benz Concept EQ. Now, we've talked a lot about the revolutionary design of this zero emissions electric vehicle, but we haven't discussed much in the way of technical specification given the scant information available. However, Mercedes-Benz has shed some light on what the Mercedes-Benz Concept EQ might have under the hood, promising to eliminate some of the minor annoyances that plague some competitors' electric vehicles today.

Now, one of the main issues that keeps many drivers away from electric vehicles these days is downtime. After all, if you've got errands to run around Burlington and Shelburne, you don't want to waste time tethered to a charging station, do you? No, of course you don't, but luckily, that won't be a problem with the Mercedes-Benz Concept EQ. This vehicle will leverage the latest charging technology to cut down on the time you need to be plugged in, allowing you charge up to a range of more than 62 miles in just five minutes. And given the fact that most Americans average daily driving distance is about half that range, you can get a lot of mileage and use out of very little time spent charging up.

Of course, there's still plenty more to come with the Mercedes-Benz Concept EQ, so make sure to follow our blog as we cover updates and information about this outstanding electric vehicle concept as it becomes available.
