How To Buy A Car From Another State

Can You Purchase Out-of-State Vehicles?

Yes, many drivers buy vehicles from other states if they find a certain model that they don't have close to them or a deal they can't turn down. Our dealership has sold many new and used vehicles to out-of-state car buyers, so we know how to make this process quick and easy no matter where you live.

What to Consider Before Buying a Vehicle from Another State

Car sales vary from state to state, and there can be quite a bit of difference between buying a car in Vermont and buying a vehicle from the state you live in. Our Mercedes-Benz dealership is happy to go over those details and make sure you understand everything before setting out on your search and purchase with us.

What is the local airport?

Burlington International Airport.

How does transportation from the local airport to the dealership work?

We arrange the pick up ahead of time.  Either our sales staff will pick you up, or the shuttle will. Once you land, you can call and we will pull up the curb at the terminal.

How are registration and taxes handled?

We will fill out all the paperwork and send it to you overnight in order for the client to take it to their local DMV. Check your state's laws on vehicle registration for vehicles bought out of state to be sure there are no hiccups.

How is the vehicle inspection handled?

Clients handle that in their own state.

How is insurance handled?

Insurance will be arranged by the client and the dealership prior to arrival. You need proof of insurance before purchasing a vehicle in Vermont, so be sure you have that before you pick it up. Vehicle deliveries have their own separate insurance for the delivery process.

What are some activities to do around the store?

Burlington is 3 miles away. There are shops, and restaurants and you can watch the sunset over Lake Champlain. Also, you can find a farmers market every weekend in the summer. In the fall, the foliage is a sight to see. In the winter, you can drive to Stowe and other ski areas within 45 minutes.
